CALIFORNIA, Md. — Foundation 4 Heroes (F4Heroes) is sponsoring a trip veterans to a Washington Nationals baseball game for veterans.

William Moffett, a 100-year-old WWII veteran, and two busloads of Korean and Vietnam veterans will attend a Washington Nationals baseball game.

โ€œTheyโ€™re our nationโ€™s greatest heroes. They will be recognized at the game for their service and sacrifice to our country on Thursday, September 29th before the 1:05 p.m. start,โ€ said Dr. Jay Lipoff, Foundation 4 Heroes founder and president.

Mr. Moffett met the Foundation 4 Heroes volunteers at the Mechanicsville Veteranโ€™s Home where they attended a superhero-themed prom night, said Lipoff.

โ€œF4Heroes wanted to thank him and others in attendance in a special way for their dedication and Moffetโ€™s passion for baseball gave them an idea. The F4Heroes organization will also be purchasing jerseys for the veterans to complete their day at the Park,โ€ said Lipoff.
