10-year-old boy shot in PG County

BOWIE, Md. – The PG County Police Department is investigating the shooting of a 10-year old boy in Bowie.  

Police responded to the 2100 block of Woodvale Lane, Sunday afternoon, March 18 for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, police located a juvenile male suffering from a gunshot wound on his upper-body. The boy was taken to a nearby medical facility and is currently in stable condition, according to authorities. A preliminary report says that the shooting took place inside of the home and was not a random occurrence.  

The PGPD is currently working to learn the circumstances of how the boy was shot. A full police report is pending.
