On Sunday, July 25, 2010 at 8:57 a.m., TFC K. D. Lashley initiated a traffic stop on a gold Toyota Corolla in the area of Maryland Route 234 and Chaptico Hill Lane for a traffic violation.
Upon making contact with the driver, TFC Lashley detected the odor of alcohol emitting from the driver. Subsequently, a juvenile male, 16 of Mechanicsville, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. A search incident to arrest revealed Marijuana in the vehicle.
The juvenile was transported to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack and released to a parent pending further action by Juvenile Services.
