ย On Sunday, March 11, 2012 at 12:26am, TFC E. M. Evans conducted a traffic stop in the area of Mervell Dean Road and Joy Chapel Road on a Toyota for a traffic violation. Upon approaching the vehicle, TFC Evans made contact with an identified the operator, Jacob Brendan Schroeder, 18, of Hollywood. While speaking with Mr. Schroeder a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected emitting from the subjectโ€™s breath and the vehicle. TFC Evans had Mr. Schroeder exit the vehicle and perform standardized field sobriety, which he was unsuccessful in passing and subsequently arrested for Driving Under the Influence. A search incident to arrest revealed that Mr. Schroeder had CDS concealed in his front right pocket. Mr. Schroeder was transported to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack where he was processed for his DUI prior to being transported to the St. Maryโ€™s County Detention Center where he was charged with Possession of CDS and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
