Christina Marie Russell (Age 32 of Lexington Park) was indicted for โ€œPossession with Intent to Distribute Amphetaminesโ€, โ€œConspiracyโ€ as well as โ€œObtaining Alprazolam by Fraudโ€. She was originally held with bond.

As detectives continue the investigation into a group of individuals from Washington D.C. who are passing fraudulent prescriptions, two additional arrests have been made. Detectives arrested Nelson Van Standifer (Age 22) and Ashley Nicole Tate (Age 26 of Washington D.C.) for attempting to obtain โ€œPromethazine with Codeineโ€. This powerful cough syrup is known on the street as โ€œPurple Drankโ€. Detectives arrested the two as they left a local pharmacy. Evidence has tied these two latest arrests to four prior arrests. Detectives are working with other jurisdictions in at least two states regarding this group and the fraudulent prescriptions they are passing. This investigation continues and additional charges are pending a review with Stateโ€™s Attorney Richard D. Fritz.

On Feb. 14, Deputy Krum stopped a 2012 Chevrolet for a traffic violation on Medleyโ€™s Lane in Mechanicsville. Deputy Krum conducted a wanted check for the front seat passenger identified as Joseph Anthony Scriber, age 48, of Mechanicsville. Dispatch indicated Scriber had an outstanding warrant for his arrest through the Maryland State Police. Scriber was placed under arrest and searched. Deputy Krum located a smoking device in Scriberโ€™s pants pocket and a baggie containing suspected cocaine. 2 (two) pills, (suspected vicoden), were located in Scriberโ€™s jacket pocket along with a straw. Scriber was transported to the St. Maryโ€™s County Detention Center and charged with 2 COUNTS Possession Controlled Dangerous Substance: Not Marijuana and 2 COUNTS Possession Paraphernalia. The warrant was also served for Failure to Appear in Court for Driving While Suspended.

Calvert County

Possession of Clonazepam:ย  On Feb. 10 at 6:25 p.m., Trooper First Class Oles responded to Barstow Rd. and Sugar Notch Lane for a reported intoxicated subject in roadway.ย ย  Salvatore N. Gallodoro was located and given a ride at his request to a location on Barstow Rd.ย  At 8:46 pm, TFC Oles again responded to a complaint for a person in roadway on Barstow Rd and Leitches Wharf Rd.ย  He again located Gallodoro.ย  He was taken to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was going to be allowed to sleep in their front lobby for the night.ย  At 9:57 pm, TFC Oles responded to the Calvert County Detention Center after being notified that Salvatore N. Gallodoro, 36, homeless, was found to be in possession of prescription pills (Clonazepam).ย  He did not have a prescription for this medication.ย  He was taken to the booking area and processed for possession of CDS.

Possession of Marijuana:ย  On Feb. 12 at 1:46 p.m., Trooper First Class Smith stopped a vehicle near the 13300 block of Trueman Rd. in Lusby for traffic violations.ย  The odor of marijuana was emitting from inside the vehicle.ย  Robert J. Wells, 54 of Prince Frederick, was arrested for possession of marijuana and was issued a civil citation and released.

Possession of Marijuana:ย  On Feb. 13 at 12:34 a.m.,ย  Trooper First Class Newcomer stopped a vehicle on Rt. 231 near Sixes Rd. for traffic violations.ย  A strong odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from inside the vehicle.ย  The driver, Joseph V. Florence, 24 of Morningside, was found to be in possession of marijuana over 10 grams and was placed under arrest and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.ย  The passenger, Tarra M. Corbett, 24 of Chesapeake Beach, was found to be in possession of marijuana less than 10 grams.ย  She was issued a civil citation and was released.

DUI and Possession of Oxycodone:ย  On Feb. 13 at 6:40 p.m., Trooper First Class Palumbo stopped a vehicle on Adelina Rd. in Prince Frederick for traffic violations.ย  Michael A. Dobbins, 35 of Broomes Island, appeared to be intoxicated.ย  Standardized Field Sobriety Testing was performed and Dobbins was unable to complete it successfully.ย  He was arrested for DUI.ย  A search incident to arrest revealed oxycodone.ย  He was additionally charged with possession of CDS.ย  He was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

Possession of Marijuana:ย  On Feb. 16 at 12:08 p.m., Trooper Warrick stopped a vehicle on Rt. 231 in Prince Frederick for traffic violations.ย  The driver, Tammy L. Watson, 37 of Crofton, advised there was a small amount of marijuana in the center console.ย  She was issued a civil citation and appropriate traffic violation citations and was released.
