On Sept. 4 at 4:15 a.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to 7-Eleven at 1065 St. Ignatius Drive in Waldorf for a rape report. A 42-year-old employee was outside the store when a man approached her and told her to go to the side of the store. The victim refused, but the man brandished a knife and forced her to the rear of the store, where he raped her. The man then fled the scene. The victim was transported to Civista Medical Center. The suspect is described as a black male between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs between 150 and 160 pounds. He was wearing dark pants, a white T-shirt and a gray sweat shirt with a hood. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-609-6499.
