A cool time is had at local shopping center

California, MD – On Saturday, May 30 the parking lot and sidewalks at the Wildewood Center in St. Mary’s County took on a carnival atmosphere. The days sizzling hot temperatures didn’t deter area families from attending the center’s Family Fun Day.

In fact, the center, located on Route 235 in California, was the best place to cool off as a Dolphin Water Slide kept kids busy. There was also face-painting, a moon bounce, the Balloon Nerd and plenty of superheroes.

The Foundation 4 Heroes on hand for the day of fun included Superman, Batman and Batgirl. Local heroes from the volunteer fire departments kept watch on the various youth activities that were underway.

Maryland’s Miss World America contestant, Syanne Centeno, also appeared at fun day. She posed for pictures and spoke to the gathering.

There was also an impressive array of Jeeps on display in the parking lot. Many of the center’s retailers had displays set up outside during the festival.
