LEXINGTON PARK, Md. –On May 10, 2021, at approximately 9:10 a.m., police, fire and rescue personnel responded to the serious single motor vehicle accident on Three Notch Road southbound in the area in Lincoln Avenue.
Crews arrived to find the single vehicle that stuck a utility pole with wires down in the roadway. The sole occupant self extricated out of the vehicle. The patient was transported to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital.
The area of the accident will be shutdown for an extended period of time. SMECO is on the scene for repairs.
Use caution in the area, and stay alert for emergency vehicles.
MSP Statement: North and Southbound lanes of Rt 235 in between Great Mills Road and Hermanville Road are shut down due to a traffic accident. Electric pole and lines in the roadway. SHA advises it will be shut down for multiple hours. Please avoid this area.
The Maryland State Police is investigating the accident.
