Two Transported After Head-On Collision In Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD, Md. – At approximately 2:58 p.m., police, fire and rescue personnel responded to the serious motor vehicle accident with one subject possibly trapped on St. Johns Road in the area of Injune Lane in Hollywood.

St. Johns Road is shutdown in the area of the accident.

Crews arrived to the scene and found two vehicles involved in the head-on collision with one of the vehicles off the roadway. No entrapment was found upon arrival. Hollywood VFD reporting two patients transported to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital.

According to a witness on the scene a nearby resident assisted the trapped driver in the Amazon delivery van to get out prior to the Fire Department arrival.

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the collision.
