On October 21, 2010 at approximately 12:50 p.m., St. Mary’s County Deputy Fahey responded to a single vehicle motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Three Notch Road and Lincoln Avenue in Lexington Park.
Investigation revealed Francine Mae Morgan, 51 of Lexington Park, was operating 1983 Chevy southbound on Three Notch Road approaching Lincoln Ave. Morgan failed to remain on the roadway, drove her vehicle onto the right shoulder of the road and into a ditch. Deputy Fahey contacted Morgan and as Deputy Fahey was speaking with Morgan she could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on Morgan’s breath and person.
Based on Deputy Fahey’s observations Morgan was given a standardized field sobriety test. As a result of the test Morgan was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol.
