At 12:35 a.m. April 7, a vehicle traveling northbound on Old Washington Road at VFW Road was stopped for a traffic violation by TFC Lemerise of the LaPlata trooper barrack.
The driver, Donald Lee Carpenter, 52, of Accokeek, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
A search incident to arrest revealed suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Carpenter was subsequently charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was incarcerated in the Charles County Detention Center pending a bond review.
At 12:59 a.m. April 9, a vehicle traveling on U.S. Rt. 301 @ Acton Lane was stopped for a traffic violation, by TFC Collins of the LaPlata trooper barrack.
The driver, Wayne Nathanial Wood, 30, of Pomfret, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
A search incident to arrest revealed suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Wood was subsequently charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was incarcerated in the Charles County Detention Center pending a bond review.
At 12:09 p.m. April 10, a vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation on St. Patrick’s Drive, west of Western Parkway, by TFC Lemerise.
The driver, Joseph Dean Ashley, 29, of Waldorf, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
A search incident to arrest revealed suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Ashley was subsequently charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was incarcerated in the Charles County Detention Center pending a bond review.
