***The Maryland Department of Health has information that is not current with what St. Mary’s County Health Department officials are reporting. At this time, St. Mary’s County is showing 92 positive cases.***

LEXINGTON PARK, Md. โ€” As of Saturday morning at roughly 10 a.m., the Maryland Department of Health(MDH) is confirming a total of 7,694 cases of the novel coronavirus(COVID-19) across the state of Maryland, while there are going to be more results that are presumably still waiting to be confirmed.

This new total means there are 726 newly confirmed cases in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, over 1,709 people have ever been hospitalized, and 296 of those were recorded in the past day.

431 previously infected people have been released from their isolation according to MDH, 34 of which have been recorded in the past day.

35 people in the state have died from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the stateโ€™s death toll unfortunately up to 206.

Negative test results also grew, with at least 2,064 negative confirmations in the past day, bring that total to 39,544.

At this time, there are at least 409 officially confirmed cases in the Southern Maryland region. Charles County saw their previously confirmed total of 220 cases rise to 235. In Calvert County, MDH has confirmed six more official cases overnight, bringing their total up to 82.

St. Maryโ€™s County now counts cases on a rolling basis, and records from the county show a total of 92 cases now, which is up three from Friday’s update.

A majority of the positive cases across the state are still found in Montgomery County and Prince George’s County. PG County has officially has the most of any county in the state, with an overnight increase of at least 207 cases bringing the total to 1,923.

Since yesterday, Montgomery County saw an increase of at least 149 newly recorded cases, bringing their total to at least 1,537.

Anne Arundel County has also confirmed 61 new cases in the last 24 hours, bringing their official total to 615.

On April 10, the total number of confirmed cases by the Maryland Department of Health was at least 6,986. As of April 11, that recorded number is at least 7,713, showing over a 10.4% increase across the state in the past 24 hours.
