PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – The Calvert County Division of Parks and Recreation will hold an open house at the Edward T. Hall Aquatic Center in Prince Frederick to celebrate the center’s reopening. The center opens Tuesday, Sept. 8, after being closed for eight weeks for warranty repairs to the competition pool. The open house will be held Sunday, Sept. 13, from 12-6 p.m.

The community is invited to participate in a number of free activities during the open house. Free water fitness classes, swim lesson evaluations, swim team evaluations and a Wibit obstacle course will be available for all ages. The aquatic center’s hours will be Monday-Friday 6 a.m.-9 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sunday 8 a.m.-8 p.m.

The county’s two other public pools, the Cove Point Park Pool and the King’s Landing Pool, will close for the summer season at 8 p.m. Sept. 7.
