On April 26 at 11:21 a.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the report of an armed car-jacking that occurred in the parking lot of St. Charles Towne Center in Waldorf about 10:25 a.m.
Investigation revealed the victim, a 39-year-old Prince Frederick man, was approached by a male suspect who brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s vehicle, a 2006 Chevrolet Impala sedan with Washington, D.C., tags R23504.
The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene in the vehicle, heading north on Crain Highway. The suspect is described as a black male and is between 18 and 22 years old. He is 5 feet 7 inches tall and has dreadlocks.
