Update– On October 24, 2:55 a.m. St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies responded to the Leonardtown Dash In on the 26000 block of Point Lookout Road in Leonardtown, for the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, deputies determined one suspect armed with a handgun, demanded money from the clerk. The suspect fled the business on foot. Detectives from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division responded and assumed the investigation. The suspect is described as having a thin build and approximately six feet tall.
Leonardtown, MD— On Sunday, Oct. 25, at approximately 3 a.m., St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Leonardtown Dash In.
The investigation revealed that just before 3 a.m., Saturday morning, a male entered the Leonardtown Dash In, and displayed a handgun. The male then demanded money from the cashier.
It is unclear how much money was taken from the Leonardtown Dash In. The gunman fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
No injuries were reported during the robbery.
