Lusby, MD – On April 6 an unidentified woman made contact with Cpl. Wahlgreen to report a sexual offense. The woman claims that since she moved into her house as a renter, her landlord, identified as Emad Emile Dides, 56 of Lusby, has begun to arrive at the house unexpectedly. When asked what Dides does when he arrives, the woman says “Mr. Dides began to put his hands down her pants and grab her buttocks and genitalia without consent.” Mr. Dides would also arrive when he knew the woman’s boyfriend was not home. According to charging documents, “These assaults would have continued at a rate of once to twice a week.”
The woman is also afraid that Dides has implanted a camera somewhere in the house, as he has stated to her “nice nipples” despite the woman claiming he has never felt them or seen her without being clothed. According to charging documents, “Mr. Dides claims to come over to the house to ‘check his property,’ however several times, the woman has turned around in the house, and seen Mr. Dides with his hands and face pressed against the window.“
The charging documents stated, “To no avail, the woman has asked Dides to stop coming to the house without notice or being asked to. It has gotten to the point that the woman has waited for her boyfriend to get home to care for the children, and she has gone to her parents’ house and slept there.”
Mr. Dides has an arrest warrant issued for him on the charges of second -degree assault, stalking and fourth-degree sex offense.
A hearing is tentatively scheduled for June 24 in District Court.
Dides ran for Calvert County commissioner for the First Election District in 2014. Dides lost to Mike Hart in that election.
