Deputy Sarah Lacey responded to the St. Mary’s County Detention for the reported assault on a Correctional Officer. An inmate was being served breakfast when he threw the tray back at the Correctional Officer due to his bread being creased.
The Correctional Officer was not injured. Charges against the 45 year old Inmate are pending a State’s Attorney’s Office review.
