August is Speed Awareness Month: School will soon be back in session, which means children crossing roadways and standing at bus stops. Ensuring the safety of La Plata’s children and all pedestrians is a LPPD priority.
Officers will be in the neighborhoods and business districts enforcing the speed limit in an effort to keep our community safe. Please remember to slow down and yield to pedestrians.
