At 5:45 pm on Sunday, Jan. 15, TFC J. Fleetwood stopped a vehicle for speeding –ย doing 57 mph in a 40 mph zone – on Pegg Road at Ronald Drive, Lexington Park.ย
The driver, Sheila Juanita Somerville, 30, of Leonardtown was contacted after being pulled over.ย A check through MVA indicated that she had no license and her privilege was suspended.ย A further check run through NCIC revealed Ms. Somerville had an arrest warrant through the St. Maryโs County Sheriffโs Department.ย Somerville was placed under arrest.ย
When Trooper Fleetwood then approached to the passenger, Priscilla Ann Fenwick, 38, of Lexington Park, a bag of cocaine was observed on the ground, which had not been there during the initial contact.ย Ms. Fenwick was also placed under arrest.ย
A search of the vehicle incident to arrest was conducted.ย A large pile of clothing was observed in the vehicle still on the hangers.ย Numerous baby care items were found in the trunk.ย ย Somerville and Fenwickย were unable to provide a receipt.ย Further investigation revealed that the items had been stolen from CVS and Peebles.ย
Ms. Somerville was charged with two counts of Theft, Driving while Suspended and several other traffic violations.ย Ms. Fenwick was charged with two counts of Theft, Possession of Cocaine and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia.ย ย
