On July 17, troopers from the Maryland State Police responded to a private pier located off Cornfield Harbor Road in Scotland, Maryland for the report of a missing person.
A preliminary investigation revealed Arnold S. Rosario, 46 of Silver Spring was last seen on the private pier fishing. An extensive search for Rosario was conducted by officers from the Maryland State Police, St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office, Maryland Department of Natural Resources Police, United States Coast Guard, several Volunteer Fire Departments and Rescue Squad units.
On July 18, Rosario’s body was located in the water near the pier deceased. Rosario’s body was transported to the State Medical Examiners Office in Baltimore to determine a cause and manner of death. The St. Mary’s County Bureau of Criminal Investigations is continuing the investigation.
