Charlotte Hall, MD— On Monday, Nov. 28 in a Charlotte Hall dollar store a beaver was taking care of his or her Christmas shopping early this year. 

Cpl. Yingling had a unique call for service when the beaver, pictured above was browsing boxes within the dollar store. The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office was called to remove the animal from the store.

The beaver was safely rescued by animal control & was released to a wildlife rehabilitator.
