Begin Valentine’s Day weekend at Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center with Annmarie After Hours, Friday, February 11, 2011, from 6pm-9pm. Make a date with Annmarie to enjoy a casual adult evening of great art, wine & beer, light hor d’oeurves, and live music by the Logan Kraft Band. Complimentary light hor d’oeurves will be provided by Maryland Country Caterers. Treat yourself and your companion to an enjoyable evening while viewing the MLK Days Community Art Exhibit and CELEBRATE!, a mixed media exhibit installation in honor of Black History Month.
During Annmarie After Hours, visitors will enjoy the MLK Days Community Art Exhibition featuring prints inspired by West African designs, Each printmaker made two relief prints, one for our wall and one for themselves. In addition, in the Main Gallery, CELEBRATE!, features the work of southern Maryland artists Doug Reynolds, Dona Baker, Elaine Wallace, and Stephanie Garrison. On view in the Mezzanine Gallery is Text/Message: A Teen Art Exhibition that depicts difficult subjects that touch teens today, such as drugs, sexting, relationships and their hopes, dreams and fears they encounter in society.

Admission to Annmarie Garden for Annmarie After Hours is $4 for AMG Members, $5 for Adults. This is a 21 and over event only.
