| ย Hunter Dean Scott |
Hunter was recently diagnosed with brain cancer and has undergone major brain surgery to remove a massive tumor that was encasing his brain. Hunter now faces months of chemotherapy in order to completely eradicate the cancer.
Family members and friends of Hunter are asking the community for thoughts, prayers and emotional and financial support to get them through this difficult time.
Both of Hunterโs parents work full time jobs, but one of them will have to be with Hunter throughout all of the medical treatments in the coming months, thus causing the family a financial blow.
The founders of the Hunter Dean Scott Foundation are holding a benefit for Hunter, Saturday, July 19, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the American Legion Post 274, located at 11820 H.G. Trueman Road in Lusby.
The Benefit of Hunter Dean Scott will feature a 50/50 raffle, Silent Auction, Magic Show, Fantasy Face Painting and DJ. There is a $20 entry fee. Children under 12 may attend for free. There will be a cash bar and dinner provided.
If you would like to help but are unable to attend the benefit, donations can be made to the Hunter Dean Scott Foundation at the PNC Bank in Solomons, or mailed to P.O. Box 289, Solomons, MD 20688.
The foundation is set up so that you may use a donation as a tax deduction. Additionally, individuals and businesses will be acknowledged via a โThank Youโ ad in the local newspapers.
