The Seventh District Optimist Club announces that due to inclement weather, the Saturday program of the 39th Annual Blessing of the Fleet has been cancelled.
Held at the St. Clement’s Island Museum in Colton’s Point, this outdoor event is vulnerable to the elements and to the parking available on grassed lots.
Consideration of a modified program for Sunday is under way and an announcement will be made at noon on Saturday.
The fireworks display and live music scheduled for Saturday, may take place on Sunday.
