WALDORF, Md. – In the final game of the Blue Crabs’ first homestand of the season, the Lancaster Barnstormers secured the series win, defeating Southern Maryland by a score of 11-2.

The Blue Crabs had an offensive explosion in the bottom of the first inning, stringing together four hits and plating two runs. Alex Crosby and Jake Marshall brought the runs home to give Southern Maryland an early 2-0 lead.

The Barnstormers struck right back in the top of the second inning, taking a 3-2 lead. After a strong start to the game offensively, the Blue Crabs got just one more hit in the entirety of the series finale. Lancaster continued to pile on the runs in the latter half of the contest, and a four run eighth inning cracked the game open.
The Stormers never surrendered their early lead, and took the series finale 11-2. The Blue Crabs return home on June 25th after a nine game road trip.
