The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs will begin an all-new initiative, aimed at giving fans a chance to own a suite at Regency Furniture Stadium for part of the 2015 regular season.
Fans are invited to purchase raffle entries beginning on December 1 at a price of $100 per entry. Winning entries will be randomly selected on February 1 to determine which four lucky fans will receive partial season ownership of a suite at Regency Furniture Stadium.
Winning raffle participants will receive exclusive usage rights of a suite for one-fourth of the Blue Crabs’ regular season games, as well as official nameplates and signage in the suite, indicating their group’s ownership. Raffle participants who are not selected in the raffle drawing will be eligible to receive a 15% discount on any 2015 suite rental.
Proceeds from the raffle entries will go to the Blue Crabs’ “Pinch Fund” program, which benefits several local community and non-profit organizations.
Fans will be able to purchase raffle entries both on the website and in person at Regency Furniture Stadium.
“This is the first time that we have ever offered our fans a chance to actually own a suite at our stadium,” said Patrick Day, General Manager of the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. “Not only is this a fun way to give more of our fans a taste of the premium seating options available at Regency Furniture Stadium, but it is also a chance for fans to contribute to a fund that benefits countless members of our community.”
The Blue Crabs play 140 regular season games in the Atlantic League, considered the highest level of Minor League Baseball. Atlantic League players are “Major League ready” and in the last 16 years, over 600 players have graduated from Atlantic League clubs to Major League organizations, making the League a preferred route for experienced players to be scouted by Major League Baseball.
