For the second time in team history, the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs will be home for the Fourth of July!ย  With this yearโ€™s Independence Day on a Sunday, the Blue Crabs are primed for perhaps the biggest weekend at Regency Furniture Stadium in franchise history.ย  ย

The โ€œRed White & Blue Crabsโ€ All-American Celebration weekend will begin Friday, July 2 when the Crabs take on the Camden Riversharks at 7:05 p.m.ย  The game will mark the third to last game of the Atlantic League first half, so come out to Regency Furniture Stadium to cheer on the Blue Crabs as they battle the Riversharks in a pennant race!ย  Southern Maryland is striving for their second consecutive playoff berth with a first-half Liberty Division title.ย  A spectacular fireworks show will follow Fridayโ€™s game.ย

The festivities continue on Saturday, July 3 with another awing post-game fireworks show following the 6:35 p.m. game against the Riversharks.ย  The Blue Crabs are also offering a special all-you-can-eat buffet ticket for Saturdayโ€™s game, with great seats in our air conditioned Legends Club.ย  For just $25 apiece, fans will receive a ticket to the game which includes an all-you-can-eat spread of hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, popcorn and apple crisp.ย  For more information, or to reserve your spot for July 3, please contact Matt Ammerman in the Blue Crabs front office by e-mail at mammerman@somdbluecrabs.com or call 301-374-1123.ย

Sunday is Independence Day!ย  July 4 will bring one of the most action-packed days in Blue Crabs history, as the team wraps up the 2010 first half against Camden.ย  Please note the special Sunday game time of 7:05 p.m. for the holiday.ย  For the game, the Blue Crabs will don special stars and stripes jerseys, and fans may bid on the game-worn uniforms during a silent auction on the concourse during the game.ย  The special jerseys are presented by Spirit of America Car Wash.ย  The proceeds of the jersey auction will benefit the Civista Health Foundation, the presenting sponsor of Blue Crabs baseball in 2010.ย  The winning bidder for each jersey will have the opportunity to have their jersey signed by their player immediately following the game.ย

Though rain at Regency Furniture Stadium is a rarity, there will be a pre-game Blue Crabs umbrella giveaway for the first 1,000 fans through the gates on July 4, sponsored by Community Bank of Tri-County, perfect for shielding yourself from the summer sun at the ballpark.ย  Following the game, a special holiday fireworks show will light up the night sky to cap the Independence Day festivities.ย

There are also all-you-can-eat buffet tickets available for the Fourth of July.ย  Starting at $24.00, fans will sit in the left field Texas Roadhouse Corral, and enjoy Texas Roadhouse pulled pork, hot dogs, hamburgers, baked beans, French fries and brownies.ย  The buffet includes the cost of the ticket to the game.ย  To purchase Independence Day all-you-can eat tickets, contact Steve Bowden in the front office at sbowden@somdbluecrabs.com or call (301) 374-1135.
