For the 5th Anniversary Season of Southern Maryland Blue Crabs baseball, the team has made a huge effort to provide many more promotions, giveaways, and appearances than ever before! With the launch of the 5th Anniversary 5 for $55 Opening Day Packages, the Blue Crabs will be announcing the top 25 promotions for this season in a five part series. The second week continues with the announcement of #20 through #16. The team will announce 5 promotions each week, counting down to the top promotion.

Our front office has worked incredibly hard to put together a promotional schedule that not only blankets our schedule with additional value, but provides some really unique experiences that you aren’t going to get anywhere else,” said Blue Crabs Assistant General Manager Brian Radle. “We really think our fans in Southern Maryland are going to feel great about what’s in store for the 5th Anniversary Season in 2012.”
#16. Marvel Comics “The Avengers” Appearance, Business in Baseball Night with North Point High School, Wings & Beer Thursdays, $5 off field box tickets for all Military: With the new Marvel Comics summer blockbuster “The Avengers” hitting theaters we thought it would be a good idea to bring Captain America, Thor, Iron Man and War Machine to the Stadium to hang out and take pictures with fans on Thursday, May 3rd. In the off season we created a program called Business In Baseball where we work with local high schools and incorporate what they are learning in the classroom to a Blue Crabs game. North Point High School is up for this game and they have some great ideas they’ve been working on! As with every Thursday, it’s a Foster’s Grille Wings & Beer Thursday. For $25 fans can enjoy all you can eat wings and draft beer from 6:30 to 8 pm in the Legends Club. Every Thursday home game also offers $5 off field box tickets to all active and retired Military.
#17. 5th Anniversary Hat Giveaway, Charles County Employee Night, Post-Game Fireworks, Post-Game Party on the Field: Saturday, May 19th will feature a commemorative 5th Anniversary “The Tide Is Rising” Hat Giveaway presented by Community Bank of Tri-County to the first 1,000 fans. Also, it’s Charles County Employee Night with all of the county employees getting some VIP treatment. Winegardner Auto Group will be presenting a beautiful fireworks show following the game. After the fireworks, fans can then come down to the field for a post-game party, take some pictures with players, get some autographs and have a catch in the outfield.
#18. Scout Sleepovers presented by RE/MAX 100: Some of the most popular events during the season are our annual Scout Sleepovers. This year, RE/MAX 100 is sponsoring both the Girls (June 1st) and the Boys (June 8th) and we’ve got some great features included, especially with the 100th Anniversary of Girl Scouts. Get your troop involved with the Sleepover Package including a field box ticket, pre-game scout parade, opportunity to camp out on the field after the game, movie on the video board after the game, and breakfast in the morning, all for just $27. Smaller tier packages also available.
#19. Foster’s Grille Wings & Beer Thursdays: Back in 2012 is Wings & Beer Thursdays presented by Foster’s Grille. Every Thursday home game, fans ages 21 and older will be able to watch the game in the luxurious, climate controlled Legends Club, and enjoy all you can eat wings and draft beer from 6:30 to 8 pm for just $25! The wings will be supplied by Foster’s Grille and feature a variety of flavors. Season ticket holders can purchase Wings & Beer tickets at a special rate of $20.
