Police responded to an accident on Penns Hill Road near Knollcrest Lane in La Plata on Tuesday morning. A 16-year-old male from La Plata was driving without a valid driver’s license. He lost control of the car and drove off the road, striking a tree. The victim was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported to Prince George’s Hospital Center where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Officer M. Burrows of the Traffic Operations Unit is investigating.
