Vice narcotics detectives began an investigation into Suspect Regan Muse Simpson (Age 29 of Great Mills) and her alleged distribution of Heroin. That investigation led to a Search and Seizure Warrant being obtained and executed. Ten (10) baggies of heroin were recovered with a street value of $500.00 and a 2006 Honda Civic was seized as well.
As the warrants were being executed in St. Mary’s County, information was received that the suspect and her boyfriend were staying and selling heroin out of a Calvert County hotel. Detectives from St. Mary’s and Calvert County worked together and a warrant was obtained and executed on the suspect’s room.
Suspect Simpson’s boyfriend, Daemon Scott Robertson (Age 27 of Great Mills) attempted to enter the room; unbeknownst to him the detectives were inside. He was taken into custody and processed by Calvert County detectives.
Seized from the room were 18 baggies (street value more than $1,000) of heroin, more than 3 grams of heroin (valued at more than $300), a laptop computer, several cell phones and numerous pieces of jewelry which appears was traded for drugs. The information related to the jewelry will be shared with surrounding jurisdictions in an attempt to locate the rightful owner.
St. Mary’s and Calvert detectives will continue to work together regarding other criminal activity performed by the two suspects. Additional charges are pending against both individuals. Suspect Robertson is currently on Parole with more than 12 years of “Back up time”.
