Dallas, Texas – News sources are reporting at least five police officers in Dallas were shot and killed overnight during a protest rally held in reaction to the shootings of African-American men by law enforcement officers earlier this week. National news services are reporting 11 officers in the Texas city were shot. Police have three alleged shooters in custody while a fourth is in a standoff with authorities.
Several protests related to the earlier shootings were held nationwide Thursday night. Those other demonstrations were reported to be peaceful.
