Brandywine, MD – Prince George’s County authorities reported Monday evening, March 9 that a man pulled from a pond in Brandywine was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Reports from the Prince George’s County Fire Department said the man, whose name has not been released, may have been in the icy water for at least 50 minutes. He was found and pulled out of the water around 4 p.m.
The pond is located on Chaddsford Lake Drive in the Southern Prince George’s County town. Dive teams were called in to search an area where a witness had seen the victim enter the water and not come out. Responders performed CPR on the man prior to his transport to a hospital.
The incident remains under investigation.
