The Capital Athletic Conference office announced the 2007 All-CAC baseball teams yesterday evening and Mike Broccolino was St. Maryโ€™s (Md.) College lone representative, earning a spot on the 11-member second team.

The Millersville, MD native paced the Seahawks with 12 multiple-hit games and nine multiple RBI games, while boasting a six-game hitting streak at one point during the season.

Broccolino finished his junior campaign with a .311 batting average, starting 34 games either at catcher or as the designated hitter.ย  He connected on a second-best 37 hits in 119 at-bats, which is third on the team.

The Old Mill HS product drilled team-highs of 10 doubles and two home runs, while being third on the team with three triples.ย  He also registered a slugging percentage of .496 and 23 walks and drove in 31 runs โ€“ all three numbers are tops for the Seahawks.

As a catcher, Broccolino posted a .982 fielding, making just two errors in 112 chances, while throwing out eight base runners.

He is tied for first in the Capital Athletic Conference in walks, while being third in the caught stealing by category.
