At 11:55 A.M., crews were dispatched for the outside fire in 21000 block of Pegg Road in Lexington Park. Crews arrived on scene to find approximately and acre of woods on fire. Crews went to work to extinguish the fire with foam and then spent the remainder of the time on scene searching for remaining “hot spots” in the foliage to ensure the fire didn’t reignite. The final fire unit cleared the scene at 1:10 P.M.
