Charles County Md. — November 6, 2016 – Investigators from the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office, Charles County Sheriff’s Office and the Prince George’s County Fire Department are currently on the scene of a brush fire with one fatality. The Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department responded to the fire located at 72 Garner Avenue in Waldorf at approximately 5:02 pm. The fire was extinguished within five minutes. The investigation into the origin and cause of the fire is ongoing and the identity of the victim is pending examination by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
