At 1:14 p.m. June 4, Dep. Bortchevsky of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to Buehler’s Liquors, located at 4915 St. Leonard Road in St. Leonard for a burglary call.
The owner stated that when he arrived at the store to open it for daily business that day he discovered that the store had been burglarized and over $200 in property had been taken.
Investigation revealed a suspect and consequently, Dep. Bortchevsky arrested Michael D. Bernal, 39, of St. Leonard, and charged him with burglary and theft.
