Rocktoberfest 2015, presented by the La Plata Business Association (LPBA) and produced by Island Music Company, announced that local musicians are being sought for the rock music festival and fundraiser which will take place on Saturday, October, 3, 2015 from 3 to 10 p.m. at Casey Jones Restaurant & Bar, located at 415 E. Charles Street, La Plata, MD.
The 2nd Annual Rocktoberfest is free and open to all, offering a lively gathering place for families and friends with a laid back guitar-centric vibe. Festival patrons can move between indoor and outdoor spaces for simultaneous performances by acoustic singer song writers and musicians, playing a diverse range of popular music, including classic and modern rock, blues, country, and pop. Headliner bands will take the main stages in the evening hours, including the Paul Reed Smith Band and Franklin Square Band, among others.
La Plata is a small walking-town that celebrates its rich culture and heritage, friendly neighbors, and thriving community. LPBA seeks to promote the interest of the La Plata Business community through sponsoring special events and play a significant role in supporting the arts. The festival will showcase local musicians and emerging talents, provide opportunities for corporate hospitality, feature a Street Market for art and crafts vendors and activities for kids, and raise funds for a good cause.
