SOLOMONS, Md. – On June 20th the Calvert Alliance Against Substance Abuse, Inc. (CAASA) in partnership with Calvert County Behavioral Health Services, will host “A Community Conversation – Calvert County and the Opioid Epidemic” at the Calvert Marine Museum, Harms Gallery, Solomon’s Maryland, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.  This is a free event open to the public.

Local agencies will be on hand to share information on the signs and symptoms of opioid misuse; current opioid overdoses; emerging drug trends; and provide free Naloxone training.  Special guest presenters will speak on the topic of recovery.   “Education is the key to our prevention and outreach efforts and we encourage families to join us for this event,” states Kristen DePhillip, President, Board of Directors, Calvert Alliance Against Substance Abuse, Inc. (CAASA).
