CHESAPEAKE BEACH, Md. – On February 2, 2021, members of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Special Operations Team and Patrol Bureau assisted the Department of Navy (DON) at the Naval Research Laboratory in Chesapeake Beach, MD, to conduct a series of security drills to enhance the readiness of their security forces.
This joint operation allowed officers, service members, and guards to simulate realistic scenarios allowing for an integrated response between agencies.
The exercise is not in response to any specific threat, but is a regularly scheduled exercise designed to enhance the training, readiness, and capability of security forces to deter and respond to potential security threats.
