During the week of December 21 – December 27 deputies of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1104 calls for service throughout the community.

Damaged Property: 2020-65095
On December 22, 2020, Deputy Crum responded to 9100 Block of Southern Maryland Blvd. Owings, MD for the report of a destruction of property.  Upon his arrival, he made contact with the complainant who advised an unknown suspect(s) vandalized their political sign with spray paint sometime between December 21, 2020, at 1:00 pm and December 22, 2020 at 12:00 pm.  The estimated damaged property is $100.

Theft: 2020-65294
On December 23, 2020, Deputy Flynt responded to Bidwell Ln. Huntingtown, MD, for the report of a theft.  The complainant advised an unknown suspect(s) stole two small Christmas trees and a lighted reindeer from the entrance of the development sometime between December 11, 2020, and December 12, 2020.  The stolen property is estimated to be $60.


Arrests:

Trina Lynn Baker, 36

On December 25, 2020, Deputy Plant responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of 900 Cox Rd. Huntingtown, MD.  Upon his arrival, he identified the driver as Trina Lynn Baker (36).  During the investigation, Deputy Plant conducted a search of the vehicle; a plastic prescription bottle was located in the center console with prescription medication belonging to another person.  Ms. Baker was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center and charged with CDS: Possess-not Marijuana and CDS: Poss of Paraphernalia. 


Bababo Opeyemi Obaro, 26

On December 21, 2020, Deputy Wilder initiated a traffic stop on S. Solomon’s Island Rd. in Solomons, MD prior to the Thomas Johnson Bridge, which then continued over the bridge. The vehicle stopped prior to North Patuxent Beach Rd. in Saint Mary’s County, MD.  Deputy Wilder identified the driver as Bababo Opeyemi Obaro (26).  During the traffic stop, Deputy Wilder detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.  After conducting a search of the vehicle, several bags of Marijuana, Promethazine Syrup and a plastic scale were located.  In addition, a large amount of money was located on Obaro. Obaro was placed under arrest, transported to the Calvert County Detention Center and charged with CDS: Poss Marijuana 10 GM+, Possess/Issue forged currency and CDS: Possess- not Marijuana.
