The Calvert County Department of Public Works, Division of Solid Waste, will host two events in June for residents who wish to safely dispose of paper documents and data materials.
Data shred: Shred unwanted data materials Saturday, June 8, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Appeal Landfill, 401 Sweetwater Road in Lusby. Shred floppy disks, CDs, credit cards, flash drives and cards, zip disks and VHS and cassette tapes. No hard drives; they are recycled separately.
Paper shred: Eliminate unwanted paper and documents Saturday, June 29, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Appeal Landfill. Only paper from residents will be accepted; paper from commercial businesses is prohibited.
