
Prince Frederick, MD – For the first time in its history Calvert County has hired a fulltime inspector to work for the Board of License Commissioners (Liquor Board). During the boardโs Thursday, July 27 meeting Chairman Robert Arscott announced that Michael Stevens has been hired to conduct inspections of the countyโs businessesโmostly stores, bars and restaurantsโthat hold liquor licenses.
Stevens has a law enforcement background, having worked for the Maryland State Police (MSP) for 24 years. His tenure with MSP included one yearโ1983โat the Prince Frederick Barrack. He also worked in the MSPโs Aviation Command flying airplanes.
Stevens attended the July 27 along with Sgt. Joe Hollinger, who has recently handled inspections as a liaison to the liquor board from the Calvert County Sheriffโs Office.
