Michael Stevens
Prince Frederick, MD – For the first time in its history Calvert County has hired a fulltime inspector to work for the Board of License Commissioners (Liquor Board). During the boardโ€™s Thursday, July 27 meeting Chairman Robert Arscott announced that Michael Stevens has been hired to conduct inspections of the countyโ€™s businessesโ€”mostly stores, bars and restaurantsโ€”that hold liquor licenses.

Stevens has a law enforcement background, having worked for the Maryland State Police (MSP) for 24 years. His tenure with MSP included one yearโ€”1983โ€”at the Prince Frederick Barrack. He also worked in the MSPโ€™s Aviation Command flying airplanes.

Stevens attended the July 27 along with Sgt. Joe Hollinger, who has recently handled inspections as a liaison to the liquor board from the Calvert County Sheriffโ€™s Office.
