On April 16, Charles County Sheriff’s Officer T. Yates observed a Plymouth passenger car crash into the back of a Ford truck on Crain Highway at the intersection of Berry Roadin Waldorf.
He then observed the two occupants of the Plymouth exit the vehicle and flee the scene. Officer Yates apprehended the driver, Armondo Aguilar, 20, of Waldorf, and discovered Aguilar was intoxicated and did not have a license.
The passenger was not identified or located. Aguilar was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, driving under the influence, fleeing and eluding, failure to remain on the scene of a property damage accident, driving without a license and speeding.
He was being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before a district court commissioner. No one was injured, including the driver of the Ford, David Allen Myers, 27, of Morefield, W.Va.
