Huntingtown, MD – On Saturday, Sept. 5, at approximately 3:51 p.m., a call was dispatched for a vehicle accident on Bowie Shop Road and Bowie Lane in Huntingtown. One vehicle left the roadway, crashing into a fence. There was one person in the vehicle. Sources at the scene report the driver was flown by helicopter Eagle 1. The ambulance dispatched was from Dunkirk since Huntingtown volunteers were on the call at the crash on Route 231.
The roadway was closed while fire department equipment was at the site. The injured motorist has not been identified. Investigation of the crash is continuing.
