More than $6500 in damage was done on October 7 between 6:15 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to a Gradall excavator near a playground on Queensberry Drive in Huntingtown. The windows, mirrors, turn signals and head and tail lights were smashed on the Gradall excavator owned by a private contractor doing work for the county.
A street lamp pole had been knocked over and broken in two as well. A $500 reward is being offered by the company and an additional $200 is being offered by the Calvert County Crime Solvers for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
