Charles County is offering four events to celebrate July 4.
La Plata will host the Town of La Plata Independence Day Celebration Friday at the La Plata Train Station. Solid Brass will provide musical entertainment. The Museum and Caboose will be open for tours. There will be activities for children, and free hot dogs, bottled water and ice cream. Regency Furniture Stadium and the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs will host the Camden Riversharks Friday night for an evening of baseball and fireworks. The game begins at 7:05 p.m., with fireworks to follow. To purchase tickets, visit www.somdbluecrabs.com.
Indian Head’s Annual 4th of July Celebration will begin at Village Green Park at 3:30 p.m., Friday and last until 10:00 p.m. There will be food, live entertainment and a fireworks display beginning at 9:10 p.m. No pets or alcohol are allowed. The Charles County Fairgrounds will host an evening of fun and entertainment for the entire family beginning at 5:00 p.m. Games and activities for kids include pony rides, a moon bounce, face painting and more.
