Charles County Sets Up Command Bus to Assist with Emergency Calls

NEWS ALERT from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office:

There is a telephone power outage in the Nanjemoy area in Charles County. Currently, many residents – particularly those using the 246 exchange – are unable to dial out for service. Verizon officials are in the process of fixing the problem.

In response to the situation, the Charles County Sheriff’s Office has deployed a command bus to assist residents who do not have cell phones and need to make emergency phone calls or need help with other emergency matters. The command bus will be stationed at the Nanjemoy Fire House located at 4260 Port Tobacco Road until service is installed.
