There was a family atmosphere this past weekend at the 88th Charles County Fair. Education was the main focus of the fair, as displays were set up by Charles County Public Schools, 4H Club, the Indian Head NSWC and other local organizations.
There were rides for kids and plenty to do for the whole family. Exhibits for people to view farm animals and farm equipment were open for children and adults to view. One of the coolest things to see was Dennis Beach’s wood-carving exhibition, something that has become a staple at the Charles County Fair. Thousands of people congregated to the fairgrounds and enjoyed the cool weather.
