The Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal reports a blaze that damaged a mobile home on Skyline Place in Bryans Road last week remains under investigation.
According to Dfm. Don Brenneman, the fire occurred Wednesday, Nov. 21 at approximately 10:44 p.m. The single-family home sustained $20,000 damage. No injuries were reported.
Sixteen volunteer firefighters from Bryans Road, Accokeek and Indian Head were dispatched to the one-alarm blaze and brought the flames under control in 10 minutes.
The fire, which Brenneman determined originated in the living room, was discovered by a neighbor.
Troopers from the Maryland State Police are assisting in the ongoing investigation.
