โข Charlotte Hall Veterans Home is pleased to announce the launch of its new electronic communication system!ย Touchtown allows for more effective communication between residents and staff via televisions throughout the facility, including inside bedrooms. The program provides a glimpse of daily activities, menus, and important announcements, in addition to real-time date and weather information. There’s also an audio feature to help those who are visually-impaired. This channel can easily switch to view live activities in the Main Multipurpose Room for those who are unable to leave their rooms.
This project, valued at nearly $20,000, was made possible by the American Legion
Post 82 and Masonic Lodges throughout Maryland.

โขMembers of LAFRA Unit 93 arranged delivery of a new piano to the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home Assisted Living multipurpose room. The piano was donated in memory of Patty Yates, one of their member’s daughters who passed away in 2015. Patty’s husband covered the cost for Bullock Piano Movers to deliver the 1979 George Steck piano and remove the old, broken one, and the cost for tuning by Bill Evinger of The Elephant Doctor.
